Post - Beam Joint Adaptaion

This is the last part of the redefinition of Craftsmanship project.

This iteration is more literal adaptation of one of my favorite structural joint within the Japanese tradition, the YATIO-HOZO SASHI.  It is one of the most complex joints to produce, but when it goes together all you see are the clean lines of the structural members.

This iteration was done at full scale in terms of member size but not in terms of member length.  It also examines the complexity of having laminated assemblies meet out of plan (i.e. coming into each other perpendicularly).
